Houdini shocked the world

when he once made

a single elephant

seemingly vanish

into thin air

While we make eight million

animals disappear

every hour

A word of caution:

In our act,

there will be no escape

Our “assistants” will

be sawed in half

But the magic lies

in convincing you

not to care

A pig goes into our top hat,

and you ooohh and ahhhh

as presto, we pull sausages out

The sleight of hand,

the disappearing act

We make the blood

disappear

bacon

We make their life

disappear

Misdirection:

a smiling cartoon

of our victims,

I mean assistants

With a tap of the wand

and a few flashy words

like abracadabra

and alakazam

and farm fresh

and certified humane,

you now see only product,

only dinner

With a little hocus pocus,

we convinced you

to rename our death machine

love

we put them back together

Angled mirrors

become unnecessary
