Children in our Sights

Children In Our Sights

We pledge allegiance to the gun

the flag cradled in our arms

Our children staring into the end of the barrel

the start of another school day the piercing bullet

having said goodbye to families the falling prey

as they walk to class blood spills

the school bell rings it’s hunting season again
